Anonymous cantata dedicated to the Hartig family, G. Bononcini: Proteo sul Reno
The aristocratic Hartig family was very active in the 18th century in the Czech lands in terms of supporting domestic musical life. This is evidenced by a number of historical reports and also by a large amount of dedicated musical material. Most of it has not survived, but an exception is a cantata dedicated to the family by the musicologist Romana Hinerová.
The programme will also include the secular oratorio Proteo sul Reno by composer Giovanni Vononcini. Both works will be performed by the Musica Florea orchestra and its conductor Marek Štryncl together with five soloists of the Collegium Floreum choir in a world premiere in a period-informed interpretation.
The event is held with the kind support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the City of Prague and the Municipality of Prague 1.
